Transportation Risk Management

The safe delivery of goods in first class condition is of paramount importance to companies and their customers. It is therefore essential that all aspects of the transit are controlled and any risks minimised.

Every consignment of goods carries its own individual risks and requires individual attention to the transit detail. Whether the shipment is by air, sea, rail or road, whether the goods to be shipped are crates of produce or a gas turbine the same care needs to taken. Our Transport Risk Management team is familiar with all modes of transport and has wide experience of many types of cargo, including specialist commodities. Managed by a Master Mariner, the risk managers review shipping operations and offer advice or recommendations for improvement. In addition, they can supplement any reviews with specific client visits. Of course we realise claims can occur and, when they do, our risk managers may assist, not only in the claims process but also in evaluating experience and making suggestions to avoid similar losses in the future.
